Project outline:

1. Cross-curricular teacher Grade 1 – 5: The Creation story with Science and Art

Day 1: “Let there be light” The properties of light and light boxes

Day 2: “Water and Air” The water cycle with watercolour paint and papier mache hot air balloons

Day 3: “Land and plants” Volcano construction (rock cycle) and Plant analysis (photosynthesis)

Day 4: “Stars on moons” Space collage and oral presentations

Day 5: “Birds and Fish” Multi media Bird cards and Ocean Sciences outing

Day 6: “Animals and people” Historical figure metal work

Day 7: “Rest” Abstract Art

2. Teacher capacity development programme

Teacher training sessions including pedagogical discussions and hands-on experience with practical activities.
